Concrete curbs, curb and gutter, and islands

Curbs control traffic and water. When they are cracked, sunken or knocked out by snowplows and trucks, water gets under the pavement and the lot starts to fail at the edges. Replacing damaged curb sections is one of the most effective repairs a commercial property can make.

Our current site calls curbs tedious, and they are. Forming a straight line or a smooth radius, matching the height of the existing curb and getting the gutter slope right takes patience. We hand-form curbs, including islands and radius work, and replace damaged sections so they match what is already there.

On paving projects we coordinate curb work with the asphalt schedule so new curbs are in and cured before the paving crew arrives. That keeps edges tight and drainage working as designed.

We also pour concrete wheel stops and set bollards and sign bases, which are often part of the same parking lot upgrade.
